is an inquisitive ball of fluff, desperate to be friends and

Bella, Harry's sister, is even more
inquisitive than her brother - they are very attached to
each other - needless to say that they would love to be
together. They have similar markings though Harry is much
fluffier. If you are looking for only one kitten, there are
two other girls available from this same litter but have no
pictures at the moment.

La Maison de Retraite pour Les Chiens
(Yes, a home for the oldie doggies, who have been abandoned, bereaved or just run out of luck)
With 21 inmates at the moment, and having to sadly turn so many away…we need your support please.
and this is Albert, our chosen Christmas boy!
A house full of calm and love for elderly dogs who are lost, abandoned or bereaved of their owners.
We are volunteers with the time and space and share our limited income with the dogs who live with us "en famille".
We work closely with the other South Western France rescue centres and we ask that where you can you help us all with the sad and seemingly endless needs of these loveable best friends..
We need
old towels and bedding dog food disinfectant by the bucket load
and any other donatiions you make to us or our vets will help towards considerable medical bills.

A message to all those who have a PROPERTY FOR SALE or a RENTAL PROPERTY advertised with an agent/immobilier/estate agent.
Diagnostic de Performance Energétique (DPE)
You may or may not be aware that the rules for selling houses or for rental property in France are changing. This is a government incentive and is obligatory as from the 1st January 2011.
The 'Diagnostic de Performance Energétique (DPE)' has been obligatory since the 1st November 2006 for all property sales and since the 1st July 2007 for lettings. From the 1st January 2011 this must be displayed on ALL property advertising. Here is the new text of the law: "Art. L. 134-4-3 (nouveau). – À compter du 1er janvier 2011, en cas de vente ou de location d'un bien immobilier, le classement du bien au regard de sa performance énergétique doit être mentionné dans les annonces relatives à la vente ou la location, selon des modalités définies par décret en Conseil d'État." So if you are advertising a property for sale or renting a property out from the 1st of January next year, you are obliged to have this survey done. It does not matter whether the property is advertised with an agent or privately, you still have to have the report carried out. You need to contact a "diagnostic immobilier" (look in the telephone directory or on line) local to your property and obtain some quotes as prices vary and ask for a "Diagnostic de Performance Energétique (DPE)" NB if you advertise your property with an Estate Agent they will not be able to advertise your property after 1 January if you do not have the report. We will note at the head of every Property for Sale page and Long Term Rental page that clients should telephone or email advertisers for the DPE report.
However once you have your DPE report it would be appreciated if you would forward the grading and we will add this to your advert immediately.

Cat Sanctuary in Bellac Needs your Help
The Maire of Bellac (Limousin, Haute Vienne 87) has provided a fenced area in town to support stray and feral cats - there are several large kennels and a concrete building with lockable door to store food and other equipment.
Volunteers service the area every day with food, water, and bedding.
Support for the animals from the SPA in Limoges is provided for neutering and healthcare but they no longer provide cat food - except, occasionally, biscuits. Food is supplied by the volunteers and others who are concerned for the animals.
The Maire of Bellac has been very generous providing labour and materials for a recent move of the site but we need your help with food donations – canned cat food and biscuits.
The sanctuary, is located about 100 metres down the steps on the right hand side - the steps go all the way to the river from the old Le Tribunal/Red Cross building. There is no gate at the moment but you will easily find the concrete building, the cats’ huts and the wooden shed. Locate the steps by passing in between the old Tribunal building and the “Le Palais” restaurant opposite the fountain in old Bellac.
If you can donate something, please visit the sanctuary to leave it behind the concrete shed where there is a plastic Igloo cat hut. You can either leave it inside the igloo or, you could put it through the cat flap of the door in the concrete shed.
If you are unable to go down to the sanctuary, you can also leave your donations with Mme. Noelle Germanaud at 3, rue Ledru Rollin, Bellac, underneath her mailbox or on her window sill. rue Ledru Rollin is a narrow street just behind the “Le Palais” restaurant.
