I have been organizing monthly Get-Together dinners in the Bellac area for almost three years now – it is usually the last Saturday of each month and the location varies within a maximum 20 – 30 kilometers of Bellac.
If you would be interested in receiving the monthly announcements, please let me know at [email protected] and I will add your e-mail address to my list.
There is no commitment whatsoever. No fees, no committees, just a friendly atmosphere.
Many strong friendships have risen from these dinners. Attendees are mostly Brits but we also include Dutch, Belgian, Brazilian and, on occasion, one young Chinese man! Believe me, we all have fun.
It is lovely to have a good chit-chat, a great meal and sometimes a good sing-a-long after dinner!
We would like to include French guests too although it would be useful if they can speak some English.

(Yes, a home for the oldie doggies, who have been abandoned, bereaved or just run out of luck)
With 21 inmates at the moment, and having to sadly turn so many away…we need your support please.
A house full of calm and love for elderly dogs who are lost, abandoned or bereaved of their owners.
We are volunteers with the time and space and share our limited income with the dogs who live with us "en famille".
We work closely with the other South Western France rescue centers and we ask that where you can you help us all with the sad and seemingly endless needs of these loveable best friends.
We need
old towels and bedding, dog food, disinfectant by the bucket load
and any other donations you make to us or our vets will help towards considerable medical bills.
Thank you for all your support and care

The Charente Limousine Exchange was initially founded in 2003 and we meet to exchange news, views, ideas and information. We concentrate on improving the provision of French language courses, sharing experience, skills and knowledge between members, providing information to members on living and working in France and working with the local community to tackle practical issues relating to the rise in non-French nationals within the region.
We also organise social
and cultural activities. Why Join Us? With over 200 households already part of our Association, the support network we can offer is extensive
When people first move, the sometimes bewildering maze of bureaucracy can be daunting but we are here to help
We help organise French language courses for all levels of ability and provide information on local teachers and other course providers
We can provide informative handouts covering the more important issues of living in France and there is a wealth of knowledge amongst our members -
YOU ARE NEVER ALONE
Throughout the year we organise talks and discussions informing members about living and working in France.
See our EVENTS PAGE for more information
We issue members with a Contact List giving information about each member's interests to enable direct contact between members (you can opt not to be included in this list). This list also contains details of registered businesses run by members
Each member is sent a regular newsletter via E-mail or post keeping them up to date with group news and proposed and planned activities Membership is open to all ages and nationalities whatever their reason for moving to Francewww.charente-limousine-exchange.com Charente Limousine Exchange, 2 Rue St Michel, 16500, Confolens

St Yrieix la Perche Haute Vienne
The group is the brain child of Dutch couple Frans and Toke Verschuren, who, when thy moved to the town nearly 18 months ago, struggled at first to find much of the information they needed to establish them in their new life.
Apart from the British, it is hoped that local French and Dutch people will be joining too, enabling everyone to benefit from an exchange of language and culture.
The general monthly "meetings" will initially take the form of a casual drop in for coffee and a chat and will be driven by "user demand".
From this a range of activities will be developed to cater for the varying and individual interests of the group.

The key word is "Friendship" and everyone's welcome to pop in for a coffee and a chat.
