**Ssafa Forces Help and Twilight’s (La Maison de Retraite pour Les Chiens) first ever joint fundraising event last Tuesday was a tremendous success. Event organisers, Leeanne and Michael, would like to thank everyone who helped, donated, sent good wishes and/or came on the day.
The afternoon was described as having ‘a wonderful atmosphere, like that of a traditional English fete’.
100+ people came, over €2000 was raised, with €904 coming from the auction of promises alone.
Special thanks must go to Yvonne and Mike for hosting the day, to all the energy and effort of the 20+ friends who helped make the event take shape, and to the list of professionals who gave auction promises…….including; Ash Building Services, Le Saint Pierre, Lynda Wilding, Sterling Shopping, Kennels at St Priest, Steve Baird (Plumber), PilatesLimousin, Glyn Dawson, Camping le Tourelet, Darren Luckhurst (Computing) and Hotel Berthet.
Finally, we couldn’t have done it without ‘Brighton Rocks’, two families who pooled their wonderful musical talents.

I would like to recommend the
SOS Linguistic Sevice
advertised on your site.
As you know, we were let down at the last minute by our interpreter for our
property sale. Being August it was proving impossible to find a replacement.
Dordogne on Line tried very hard to help when desperation set in, so thank you.
I had left a message on SOS's answer phone at the weekend and got a response on
Monday. Janice promised to be there for us on Wednesday and she was. We had to
wait much longer for the Acte de Vente to complete, than we had anticipated, as
the Notary managed to be running very late. Janice was there for us to the end,
had to arrange for someone else to pick up her children as she was so late, and
remained cheerful and helpful throughout.
The fees are also very reasonable and Janice was embarrassed that she had to ask
for a little more than stated, as the one hours work had turned into 3 hours. My
buyers in fact insisted she took more than she asked for.
So I would like to thank Janice and commend her service. I would also like to
commend these wonderful websites for finding
SOS linguistic services
for us and any others in need of interpreters.
