This delightful property is in a hamlet in the heart of the Regional Natural Parc of the Perigord/Limousin - halfway between the villages of Bussiere Galant and Ladignac le Long, both around a 5 minute drive.

Villars
The Villars grotto is the largest underground network in the
Perigord and a tour will enable you to see impressive stalactites and a
luminere show.
Oradour-sur-Glane
During World War II, Oradour-sur-Glane was the scene of a cruel
massacre carried out by SS troops. The remains of Oradour have now
been preserved as a commemorative museum and resource centre.
Jumilhac le
Grand
The chateau at Jumilhac is open to the public during the summer, this
beautiful town also hosts a Sunday market during July and August. You can
still pan for gold in the rivers around Jumilhac, you might strike it
rich!
Richard the
Lionheart Route
Follow the trail of 11th/12th century castles and fortresses Richard I would
have known, from Coussac-Bonneval to Chalus where Richard was
struck down by an arrow. During summer months many of these castles organize
special events, exhibitions and concerts.
This
is a one bedroomed property, with double bed, 2 bed side drawers and a chest
of drawers. However could sleep four by using the sofa bed in the lounge.

Haute Vienne
The excellent local cuisine can be sampled at the friendly and cheap bars and restaurants as well as at the weekly traditional markets in nearby towns and villages. Two beautiful lakes nearby (5 and 15 minutes by car) are perfect for swimming, sailing and other water activities.
This, as yet, undiscovered region is ideal for country walks, cycling or just simply relaxing in the tranquillity of rural France.
There is a wealth of historic sights such as Roman baths, Richard the Lionheart trails and a rich variety of antique and modern local arts and crafts.
Macom is a beautifully converted Napoleonic farmhouse and barn that combines the local architectural features with modern comforts - sleeping eight +.
Two French windows lead onto a large patio facing the big open garden and orchard where you can watch and listen to wild life, or read and enjoy local wine.
The well equipped kitchen has views to the garden. You will find a fridge/freezer, built in electric oven, combination stove (gas/electric), and washing machine.
A feature wooden staircase leads to a logia, the master suite with its large bedroom, dressing room and a bathroom with shower and toilet.
There are also two toilets and a shower room.
There is a lounge area with plenty of armchairs, coffee tables in front of a big fire place. There is also an antique dining table with local traditional chestnut wood chairs.
On the patio there are two good size tables and
chairs and a flexible sun shade. Convector heaters in all rooms.
Limoges international airport is about 20 minutes drive away. By rail there are easy connections via Eurostar and TGV to Limoges or Angouleme. Lambertie is about 7-8 hours drive from Calais.

In the beautiful Limousin area, Haute Vienne, is a fully furnished traditional farmhouse for rent.
Set in peaceful countryside yet not far from all the local amenities. The village of Champsac is 3,5 km, with school, baker, bar-restaurant-tabac, butcher, hairdresser and post office. The larger town of Chalus is 7 km. The town has all amenities including English speaking doctor and large supermarket.
The airport at Limoges with daily flights to the UK and other countries is only 30 minutes away.
The
house is on two floors and consists of an entrance hall leading to a fully
fitted kitchen with a gas hob and electric oven, dishwasher, microwave and
washing machine, one fridge and one fridge freezer.
There is a a separate living room with fireplace and woodburner,
television, radio and CD player and
dining area.
There is also a ground floor shower room with wash hand basin and toilet.
Stairs
leading to the first floor which has three good sized bedrooms.
Bedroom one has a double bed, and the other two bedrooms have single beds but more beds are available if required.

There is also a large loft space which could be useful for storage of personal items.

There is a large garden of one acre and in the summer use of an above ground small swimming pool. Gardening and pool service provided.

All our rooms are tastefully furnished with en-suite shower rooms and have central heating for those cooler months. A 2 bed family suite is available for 2 adults/2 children (also available as 1 double/1 twin with shared en-suite).

a busy days sightseeing or house-hunting, perhaps you would like join your hosts
and other guests for dinner and conversation around our large oak table. All
our meals are prepared in the traditional French way from home grown and local
farm produce and using the finest ingredients.

The gite has been recently renovated to a high standard with many of the original features retained including original oak beams and exposed stonework.
The accommodation includes a lounge with large comfortable sofas and chairs, satellite TV, video, DVD player, wood burning fire.
The kitchen dinner is fully equipped with all you would hope to find dishwasher, washing machine, microwave, cooker, etc.

There are two double bedrooms one of which is en-suite and a twin bedded room. There are wardrobes in each bedroom.

one corner there is a well appointed kitchen which looks out over the garden and
fields, and also a cloakroom.
A
galleried staircase leads onto the first floor where four beautifully furnished
bedrooms are situated, all with en-suite facilities. There are two double rooms
featuring king-sized beds and two twin rooms. L'Hirondelle Gîte also
benefits from full central heating for the cooler months.

Relax in unspoilt countryside of the Limousin, where you can enjoy the numerous lakes and rivers in our restored Barn and Piggery. Situated close to the attractive and busy market town of St Yrieix la Perche, with restaurants and shops and a large lake with a beach and swimming. Horse riding is also available nearby.

Very large lounge, comfortably furnished and with a TV and DVD player, leading into an open plan dining room and kitchen. The kitchen is fully equipped with a fridge/ freezer, gas cooker, washing machine and microwave, and has plenty of cupboard space and large worktops. From the lounge, French doors open onto a large deck with table and chairs, parasol and a bar-be-cue.
Upstairs
there is a large central hallway which all rooms lead from. There are 2 large
double bedrooms with double beds, one with an en-suite shower and wash hand
basin and 2 smaller double bedrooms with 2 single beds in each. The bathroom has
a bath with shower over, wash hand basin and toilet, and there is a separate
toilet with hand basin.
La Porchiere sleeps 2/3
The
Porcherie still has the traditional stone walls and lovely original features. It
is an open plan design with the kitchen and living area downstairs and a
mezzanine bedroom and bathroom upstairs.
The kitchen
is fully equipped with a gas cooker, fridge and washing machine and microwave,
the lounge has a TV and DVD player and a bed settee which could sleep another
person if required.
From the lounge, French doors lead onto a very pretty patio, complete with patio furniture and bar-be-cue
Both
gites are supplied with linen and towels and a cot and high chair are available
on request. Generally electricity and gas are included in the price, but
electricity will be charged if heaters are required.

perfect spot for watching the wildlife of the region - over 120 species of birds
along with otter, deer, boar, civet cat and others. The lake contains carp,
coarse and game fish and we have a category A (trout) river running through our
land.

Our cottages (sleeping 23) and bed and breakfast rooms (sleeping 13) are either new or have recently been refurbished to an excellent standard. Good quality bed linen and towels are provided.

We have a small number of quiet secluded camping pitches available also.
